Oh my gosh. I know just what you mean. A girlfriend of someone who lives in our building wears so much perfum that we can smell it in the hall for hours after she walks through, and if the windows are open? The smell comes in our house.
I'm guessing they don't really know or believe it. You know how you stop smelling your own perfume after a while? When I was younger, I thought that meant you were supposed to add more. Maybe no one ever explained that phenomena to them?
