Let's see...I think I mentioned it a lot. Are you filling out the daily activities questionaire or the initial application? I don't have a copy of my initial application. On the daily activities one I mentioned alters being up when we sould be sleeping on the second question...the one about dfficulties sleeping. I also mentioned switching in the section on social activities. I mentioned switching several times in the personal information questons...mostly pertaining to work stuff. The person that did the "third party questionaire" for me mentioned switching and alters in every section, on multiple questions.

The initial paperwork, I think I mentioned it, but if I remember correctly, the questions were much more general than the ones I mention above.

One tip my friend gave me was to be overly honest...try to let go of any fear/shame and be blunt. For example...I'm triggered by dishwater so I can't wash dishes, I lose the whole day if I try. So I wrote on one of the household questions that many chores do not get done until my partner who works has time to do them because I get distracted, triggered, have flashbacks, and switching occures.

If all goes as it should, you won't have to talk to the people at social security more than a couple times, and if they send you to see their doctor, it will only be once and won't be a long appointment. When I went in to the office, it was only to be informed that I had been approved for ssi and that approval for ssdi was still pending. The guy explained that once ssdi was approved they would stop ssi, etc. He didn't know anything about me other than I was in the application process. My point is...be honest and blunt...you will never see or talk to these people again...I haven't and while I live in a bigish town, it's still a TOWN and not "NEWYOKCITY" (said like the pace picante guy)!

Feel free to email me...I think you can get my email from the DID workbook board?
